Production Technician / Web Developeralex for biio redone

Alex is an alumni of the FRED TV program and a graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School. Since graduating in 2005, Alex has received a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Bridgewater State College while working here at Fall River Educational Television. A strong interest in television broadcast and engineering led Alex to be part of the production of various types of programming showcasing his work as an editor, lighting technician, camera operator, and video/ sound engineer. After receiving his degree, Alex became webmaster and website designer for www.fredtv.us and www.frgtv.us.

As webmaster for FRED-TV/FRG-TV, Alex has implemented new dynamic features to both sites, such as request forms, live streaming, and video on demand services to help better serve the viewers of both channels.

Broadcast production and engineering  have been the main focus Alex’s career here at FRED-TV.  Embracing a mixture of new and old technology, Alex has proved to be instrumental in updating the FRED-TV studios both at our main location in B.M.C. Durfee High School, and at our remote studio located inside of Government Center.  Alex is currently working on a complete rewire and rebuild of  FRED-TV/FRG-TV’s new production truck nicknamed “Bullwinkle.” He is outfitting the truck with the latest in HD/SDI technology including Broadcast Pix switchers, AJA Solid state recorders, and Sony EX cameras. Alex is also focused on closing the gap between generations of  technology and integrating IPTV into the infrastructure of the Fall River Public Schools and within our broadcast systems here at FRED-TV/FRG-TV.

Outside of FRED-TV, Alex has been part of various productions, working for such companies as Comcast, Rádio e Televisão de Portugal (RTPi), Solcum Design Studio, Pro Media A/V, and  Alli Sports group. Show credits include  Operation Haiti Fundraiser (Pro Media A/V, RTPi),  St. Patrick’s Day Parade (Comcast), International Portuguese Music Awards (Pro Media A/V, RTPi), and The Mountain Dew Tour (Alli Sports Group).
